It's easy to mistake Bush for Hitler, so why are the Americans getting so upset?

The furore over foreign policy peaked late last week when a newspaper reported German Justice Minister Herta Daeubler-Gmelin had compared U.S. President George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler.

Both Daeubler-Gmelin and Schroeder denied any such comment was made. The incident angered Washington and was seized upon by Stoiber and his Christian Democrats.
